This year’s GCN meeting was held in Toulouse, France, on 11 to 13 November.

Our hosts, the Territoires Conseil group, a GCN partner, comprises of a dozen or so French agencies. The group’s reach covers the whole of France and is managed by Mr. Frédéric LEONARD, the former director of Hickory agency which has been a member of GCN almost since the beginnings.

Territoires Conseil were indeed great hosts. Thinking about our bodily and spiritual needs, they both professionally moderated discussions and presentations as well as revealed some secrets of the French cuisine and the art of the vine growing (that included visiting the Chateau Plaisance vineyard).

The attendance register included representatives from: Apache and Hickory agencies (the Territoires Conseil group, France), Green (the Netherlands), Plataforma (Spain), Schlasse (Germany), R+K (USA) and Horsefield (Poland).

The meeting concluded with indicating that being a member of GCN, any local agency can compete (or cooperate!) with global chain agencies. One of the example was the successful cooperation GCN’s Plataforma developed with McCann in Spain.
